Navigating Client Collaboration

Client Collaboration comprises three major areas:

  • Requests is the heart of Client Collaboration. Most of your day-to-day work in Client Collaboration will occur in this area. When you open Client Collaboration, the main Requests dashboard shows by default. From there, you can drill down to view or take action on individual requests. See Using the Requests Dashboard and Tracking Requests for more information.
  • Administration is where firm-level options for Client Collaboration are set. Access to this area might be limited to select users at your firm. See Setting Up Firm Options for Client Collaboration for more information.
  • Library houses the letters, questionnaires, and request lists that your firm includes in its requests to clients. This area also might be limited to select staff members, depending on your firm's needs. See Building Requests with Templates for more information.

To navigate between Client Collaboration areas, click the toolbar button, which is visible on every page in Client Collaboration. Then, in the menu that displays, select the area you want to go to.

Note:Only the areas you have permission to access display on the menu.

In addition to the toolbar button, the following two items are also available on the top right on every page in Client Collaboration:

  • The message center button gives you quick access to messages sent between clients and firm staff members about requests. The button displays as if there are unresolved messages, or with a number badge if there are unresolved messages or messages assigned to you. See Managing Messages for Requests for more information.
  • The profile button displays a menu that includes options to refresh the client list, open the Help files, provide feedback, and to log out of Client Collaboration.
