Selecting Clients for New Projects

You can select one or more clients for a new project. The client's fiscal year end must be entered on the Administrative tab in the client's profile before you can create a project for that client.

To select clients for a new project, do the following:

  1. ClosedSelect to create a new project.
    • Click Application Links on the Dashboard navigation panel, and then click New project under Workstream.
    • In Workstream, do one of the following: 
      • Click and click New.
      • Open either the Home > Project Search view or a project view, and then click New in the Edit group on the Home ribbon.
  2. On the Client Selection tab, do one of the following:
    • ClosedSelect a single client from the list. You can repeat this process multiple times to add clients individually.
      1. Enter text in the box to display the top search results. As you type, matching clients display in the list.
      2. Select the client you need in the list, then press Enter.
    • ClosedSelect multiple clients for the project. The clients you select must have the same fiscal year end.
      1. Click Select Multiple Clients.
      2. Select from the available filters to narrow the list of clients.
      3. Click Run.

        Note: To clear all filters and start over, click.

      4. In the Criteria Results section, select the check boxes for the clients you want to select. To select all of the listed clients, click the check box in the header row.
      5. Click Add Results to add the selected clients to the project. Click Replace All if you want to replace clients already associated with the project with the clients selected in the Criteria Results section.
  3. If needed, remove clients from the grid in the Clients selected section and click Remove.
  4. Enter the requested information on the Project Information tab, and then click Continue. to go to the New Project - Other Information window that allows you to set additional information before creating the project.
