The Client Billing Groups list displays summary billing information for clients for whom you are the billing manager. All billing information for each billing group is summarized on a single line. You can view details for the clients in the group by clicking in the first column. You can create invoices and progress bills for the group or for individuals in the billing group from this list.
All WIP for the client is displayed, regardless of the bill through date. The currency columns display totals at the bottom of the grid.
To use the Client Groups list, do the following:
Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Bill WIP under Billing & Invoicing.
Click the Client Billing Groups tab.
Locate the client billing groups in the list that you want to work with.
Search for a specific client billing group. Enter a client’s name or ID in the search box. Select the client from the list, and then press Enter.
Filter the list. By default, the list is filtered to show only client billing groups with unbilled WIP for which you are the client responsible staff. Click above the list to change the filters, if needed. For more information about filtering the list, see Using the Billing & Invoicing Filters.
Sort the columns. Click in a column header and select Sort Ascending or Sort Descending. The headers for sorted columns have a green border and display an arrow that indicates the sort direction.
You might need to increase the column width to view the sort arrow. You can sort on multiple columns. The sort is determined by the order you apply the sorts. For example, if you sort the Client ID column and then sort the Entry Type column, the list will be sorted by client ID and then by entry type. If you do not want to sort on multiple columns, be sure to clear the previous sort.
Do any of the following as needed:
View a client group’s members. Click the expander in the first column to view the list of clients assigned to this client group. If you do not have permission to bill the principal client, the client group does not display.
Start a new invoice or progress bill. Select an option from the Actions list for the client billing group. See Creating an Invoice for more information.
Export the list to Microsoft® Excel®. Click Export to Excel to export all records from all pages of the list. The export honors any filters or sorts you have applied. Child rows are not included in the export.
Click the menu button in a column header and select Columns. Select the check boxes for each column you want to include in the list, and clear the check boxes for columns you want to hide.
To resize a column, hover the pointer over a column divider in the header row until a double-headed arrow displays. Click and drag the divider to the new location.
