Selecting Processing Options for Roll Forward
Several options allow you to control how returns are rolled forward. The options apply to all returns in the batch.
The Roll Forward Returns Options window displays after you choose the returns for the batch. For information about selecting the returns, see Rolling Forward Returns.
To complete the creation of your job, do the following:
- Select from the following Roll Forward Return options:
- Do one of the following:
- Click Submit Job to submit the job for immediate processing.
- Click Schedule Job to schedule the job to process at another date and time. See Scheduling and Rescheduling Jobs for more information.
Component | Description |

Client data |
If there are differences between the client data in a return and the data in the client's profile, you can replace the common data, such as the address, in the return with data from the profile. Select to roll forward using data from the client profile or from the prior year return. Warning! The option to replace return data with client profile data affects all returns in the batch. |
Corporation options | Select to convert Corporation and S Corporation returns when rolled forward. These options are available only for Corporation or S Corporation returns. |
Include lists | Select to roll forward lists that exist in the selected returns. |
Roll forward all selected, including suppressed | Select to override return-specific roll forward suppression settings, if needed. |
Include all applicable prior year amounts | Select to roll forward the prior year amounts. |
Apply template | Select to use template data instead of the return roll forward data. The template selection lists those created for the next tax year. |
