Selecting Processing Options for Purge Notes

Purge Notes options allow you to control the type of return notes to purge. The Purge Notes Options window displays after you select the returns for the batch. For information about selecting the returns, see Purging Tax Notes.

To complete the purge notes process, do the following:

  1. Select one or both note levels to purge.
  2. Clear the note types (Missing Item, Review, or Preparer) that you do not want to purge, if needed.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click Submit Job to submit the job for immediate processing.
    • Click Schedule Job to schedule the job to process at another date and time. See Scheduling and Rescheduling Jobs for more information.

Notes: Purge Notes does not remove notes from backup or archive files, if created for returns in the batch.
