Deleting Batch Jobs

You can delete a job that has any status other than In-Process and remove it from the Job Status grid. Jobs with a status of In-Process must first be stopped or allowed to complete before they can be deleted.

To delete a job, do the following:

  1. In the Job Status grid, select a batch job with a status other than In-Process.
  2. Click Delete in the Job Management group on the ribbon.
  3. Click Delete to confirm your selection.

Notes:

  • Electronic filing of 1040 extensions cannot be deleted in Batch Manager. If the extensions were electronically filed using the Upload and Hold status, you can delete the filing process in the Electronic Filing Status system from the Change Status tab, provided the extensions were not previously filed and acknowledged.
  • Your firm sets the number of days to keep job history. Jobs with a status of Complete, Stopped, or Terminated that have not had any activity for the period of time selected by your firm are deleted from the system. See Setting the Firm Job History Option for more information.
