Deleting Project Worksteps
You can delete a workstep from a project if:
The workstep is not locked at the template level
There is no unbilled WIP for the workstep
Note : To delete a workstep group, you first must remove the child worksteps from the group, then save the template or project. You can then delete the empty group as you would any other workstep.
Worksteps can be deleted from a Worksteps view, the project profile, or the route sheet. Click a link below to view instructions for deleting a workstep in a project.
Delete a workstep from a Worksteps view .
Open a Worksteps view that includes the workstep you want to delete.
Right-click the workstep and select Delete .
Click Delete on the confirmation window.
Delete a workstep in a project profile .
Open the project profile.
Click Worksteps on the navigation panel.
If you are deleting a child workstep in a workstep group, click next to the workstep group to display the child worksteps.
Right-click the workstep in the grid at the top of the window and select Delete . You can also select the workstep and then click the Delete button.
Click Delete on the confirmation window.
Delete a workstep in a project route sheet .
Some route sheet layouts might not include workstep information.
Open the project route sheet. If it is not already open, expand the Workstep Information section. Right-click the workstep and select Delete . Click Delete on the confirmation window.
Note : Under certain circumstances, you can also delete worksteps from projects by deleting the workstep from the projects' template. See Deleting Project Worksteps for more information.
