Extending or Unextending a Form

You can extend a form if it will not be completed by the original due date. Forms can be extended twice. After the form has been extended twice, you can only unextend the form.

Notes:

  • You must have edit project permissions to extend or unextend a form.
  • Forms that have a status of Completed are skipped when you extend or unextend forms.

Extend a Form Due Date

Form due dates provided by Workstream have extension rules included in them. If you choose to extend a form, that rule is applied automatically to calculate the due date. For custom forms, you can set the extension rule in the form setup. Form extension dates will automatically adjust forward for new due dates that fall on a weekend.

If you unextend a form, the due dates revert to the previous due date for the form. For example:

  • A form that has been extended once reverts to the original due date for the form.
  • A form that has been extended twice reverts to the first extension due date.
  • A form that previously had an overridden due date reverts to that override due date.
