Selecting a Project's Delivery Method

Delivery methods can include any way in which a deliverable can be presented to a client, for example, you may want to specify an express carrier as a delivery method for business returns or electronic filing as a method for individual returns.

Use the Project window to select the preferred delivery methodClosed Different projects or clients may require different methods of delivering the final products. Some example delivery methods are mail, email, client will pick up, fax, electronic filing. for a project, as well as include instructions for usage.

Note: Each delivery method can only be assigned once to a project.

To manage delivery methods, do the following:

  1. Open the project profile.
  2. Click Delivery Methods on the navigation panel.
  3. Do one of the following:

    • Assign a delivery method. Click Firm Delivery Methods on the button bar, or right-click and select Firm Delivery Methods from the menu, to open a list of delivery methods previously created in Lists. See Selecting Delivery Methods for a Project for more information.

      Note: If you have appropriate rights, the Add Delivery Methods and Edit Delivery Methods buttons display at the bottom of the window. You can use these buttons to add or edit delivery methods for your firm.

    • Remove a record on the grid. Select a record and click Remove on the button bar, or right-click the delivery method and select Remove from the menu. Click Remove when you are prompted to confirm the deletion.
    • Reorganize the grid. Right-click the grid to display a list of options for managing the grid.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • Update one project. Click one of the ClosedSave options or Cancel.
    • Update multiple projects individually. Click one of the ClosedSave options or Cancel.
    • Update all selected projects. Click ClosedReset, Continue, or Cancel.
