Confirming Form Due Dates for Projects

You can confirm the deadlines for forms on the Form Due Dates window. This window displays when you create or edit new projects. If your project has a planned start, the information on this window is not required. However, if your project does not have a planned start, you must distribute the form due dates.

This window is displayed by clicking Manage form due dates on the New Project - Other Information window. For an overview, see Managing Projects.

Note: This option only displays when adding a project that is using statutory due date forms.

Form due dates are calculated based on the client's fiscal year end or the calendar year. They are distributed based on the project's planned start year.

Example: If the client's fiscal year end is June 30, and the planned start date of the project is July 1, 2024, and the rule is set to calculate on the 15th day of the 4th month after the FYE, when that rule is added to the project, a due date of 10/15/24 will be assigned to the form and the project.

If you have been granted the Override Form Due Dates permission, you can override form due dates manually on this window. Overridden form due dates display in a red font in the route sheet and project profile.

Note: If the standard due date rules change for a form, overridden dates are not updated automatically to accommodate the change in rules.

To confirm form due dates, do the following:

  1. Review the forms in the grid.
  2. If necessary, select the form due date and project for each form.
  3. Click OK.
