Selecting Roles for a Project

You can assign new roles to the project using the Firm Roles window. This window displays when you click Firm Roles on the button bar of the Roles window in the project profile.

  • The available grid, on the top, shows the roles that are not yet assigned in the selected project.
  • The selected grid, on the bottom, shows the roles that are to be assigned to the project.

To assign roles to projects, do the following:

  1. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Projects under Workstream.
  2. Select one or more projects in the grid, and then do one of the following to display the Project profile:
    • If updating one project, click Open in the Edit group on the Home tab or right-click and select Open from the menu.
    • If updating more than one project, you can display the selected items individually to edit only the boxes that are applicable. Select Update Multiple > Individual in the Edit group on the Home tab.
  3. Click Roles on the navigation panel and then click Firm Roles on the button bar, or right-click the grid and select Firm Roles from the menu.
  4. Do any of the following, as necessary:

    Assign

    Adds the selected field to the Selected list.

    Assign All

    Adds all fields to the Selected list.

    Unassign

    Removes the selected field from the Selected list.

    Unassign All

    Removes all fields from the Selected list.
  5. Note: Selecting Unassign All does not remove assignments that have been saved to the project previously.

  6. Click OK.

Note: If you have been given the appropriate assigned rights, the Add Firm Roles and Edit Firm Roles buttons display at the bottom of the window. Use these buttons to make additions or changes to the items that are set up for your firm, if necessary.
