Managing Linked Files for a Template

The Project Template - Linked Files window allows you to add links to third party files at the project or workstep level. The links are attached to the project or a workstep on the project generated by the template.

To manage template linked files, do the following:

1. Open the Templates list.
   • From Dashboard. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Configuration > Project templates under Workstream.
   • In Workstream. Click Templates in the Manage group on the Manage ribbon.
2. Select a project template, and then click. You can also right-click and select Open from the menu.
3. Click Linked Files on the navigation panel.
4. Select the Project or Worksteps tab. Use the displayed components or the menu to manage your linked files and objects.

   Explain the components of the Linked Files section.

   Component	Description
   New	Click New to add a new link. You can browse to the link location or enter the link location.
   Edit	Select a row in the grid and click Edit on the button bar to edit the selected link location or nickname.
   Remove	Select a row in the grid and click Remove to remove the selected row.
   Link Location	Allows you to view the path of the link. You can specify the link location by entering text in a blank row or by clicking and navigating to the link location.
   Nickname	Allows you to enter a reference name for a link.
   Workstep	References the workstep that the link is associated with.

5. Click one of the Save buttons or Cancel.

   Button	Description
   Save	Saves the changes without exiting the window.
   Save & New	Saves the changes and opens a new window.
   Save & Close	Saves the changes and exits the window.
   Cancel	Exits the window without saving your changes.
