Converting Tax Data From a Previous Vendor

You can securely transfer tax return data to the Wolters Kluwer Conversions Lab for conversion to the following Tax products:

  • CCH Axcess Tax
  • CCH ProSystem fx Tax

Tax data is converted from the selected product, submitted to Batch Manager, and then imported to Tax. You can then create an Organizer from the converted return and roll forward the return to the next tax year. You can select to convert tax data from the following products:

  • ATX™
  • GoSystem® Tax
  • Lacerte®
  • ProSeries®
  • UltraTax CS® (CSI)

Do the following to convert your tax data:

  1. Click Utilities under Firm on the Application Links window in Dashboard.

  2. Click Convert tax data from a previous vendor. The Tax Conversions Support page displays.
  3. Review the vendor names that we support and the types of tax data that we convert.
  4. Click Get Started.
  5. Enter your Customer Support login name and password, if prompted.
  6. Review the Getting Started Checklist and the preparation and backup instructions for the applicable vendor.
  7. When your data is prepared, backed up, and ready for transfer, click Submit Your Data.
  8. Enter your contact information and click Next.
  9. Enter your vendor information and click Next.
  10. Select the Wolters Kluwer Tax product for the converted tax data.
  11. If you select CCH Axcess Tax, enter the correct configuration options for your account and click Next.
  12. Browse to and select the back up file containing the tax data to transfer.
  13. Provide the estimated number of returns for each return type that you are transferring and click Next.
  14. Review the details of your submission and click Complete.

Notes:

  • Converted returns are opened in read-only mode.
  • The system does not calculate returns created by a conversion from another program. Converted returns that are rolled forward for a new tax year can be calculated.
