Managed Revenue

The Managed Revenue report displays the percentage of billed WIP or expected percentage of unbilled WIP and the revenue generated or expected for the client.

Permissions Required for this Report

In the staff profile, staff must be assigned to a security group that is granted View functional rights for the following:

  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Shared Library > Shared Views
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Custom
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Standard > Firm
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > Standard > Practice
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Reports > Firm Library > <report name>
  • Security group profile > Functional rights > Administration Manager > Client Manager > Approved Clients

Reports in Foundation that are Comparable

In Practice Management, the comparable report is the Managed Revenue report. In Practice Advantage, there is no comparable report.

Report Specifications

The following report options and filters are available to determine the report contents.

Set Projected Write up/down Percentage for Unbilled WIP

Percentage

Sets the expected percentage of unbilled WIP for revenue calculation.

Select the Client Responsible Staff Position to Display on the Report

List

Determines the client responsible staff to include. The list of client responsible staff is defined for the firm in Client Lists.

Select to Include Transactions Using…

List

Determines the type of date used to include transactions. The options are Transaction Date and Accounting Period Date.

Hide Comma

Yes/No

Includes or excludes commas in numbers.

Hide Penny

Yes/No

Includes or excludes pennies in amounts.

Include Deleted Clients

Yes/No

Includes or excludes deleted client information.

Field Description

Client ID

The client ID and sub-ID in Client ID.Sub ID format.

Client Name

The client name.

Year

The transaction year of the revenue.

Client Responsible Staff

The client responsible staff position selected for the client.

Hours

The total of billable hours posted within the date range selected.

WIP

The total of WIP amount posted within the date range selected.

Percent

The total revenue divided by total production.

Revenue

The WIP amount + write up/down multiplied by the percentage entered.

Line of Business

The line of business for the client.
