You can edit unposted transactions if you have the correct access rights. Posted transactions have been committed to WIP and can only be edited using the WIP corrections/transfers function. For more information, see Selecting WIP Transactions for Correction.
If you have access rights to edit or delete released transactions and access rights to enter transactions for the given type, staff, and date, you can edit or delete items with a released status. A released transaction's status will not change if it is edited. The transaction must be released before it will be added to the WIP.
To edit a transaction in the Daily Entry window, do the following:
Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Time transactions under Time Capture.
Select the staff whose transactions you need to edit.
Select the date to display in the grid. Enter text in the box. As you type, matching results display. If there is an exact match, it is highlighted in the grid. For more information, see Using Advanced Lookups.
Double-click a transaction in the list at the bottom of the window, or select a transaction in the list and click Open in the Edit group on the ribbon.
Edit the transaction in the upper section of the window.
Select one or more transactions in the grid. To select items next to each other, press and hold Shift while clicking the first and last items in the list. To select items that are not next to each other, press and hold Ctrl while clicking each item you want to select.
Click in the Edit group on the Home tab.
Enter the desired date or click the down arrow to select the date from a calendar.
Click OK.
Review the number of transactions changed on the Change Date Summary window if you were editing multiple transactions, and click Close.
If you are not in the Daily Entry view, update the view's filter criteria to the new date to view the updated transactions.
After your changes are saved, you return to the previous window.
Transactions are recalculated based on the effects of the edit. If the transaction had a previous override to a billing amount, the transaction amount is not recalculated.
Select one or more transactions in the grid. To select items next to each other, press and hold Shift while clicking the first and last items in the list. To select items that are not next to each other, press and hold Ctrl while clicking each item you want to select.
Clickin the Edit group on the Home tab.
Enter the desired staff or click the down arrow to select the staff from a list.
Click OK.
After your changes are saved, you return to the previous window.

The following situations cause the Rate command to be unavailable:
Someone is editing a selected transaction and has not saved their changes.
You do not have the necessary rights to edit one or more of the selected transactions.
One or more selected transactions has been posted.
Enter the desired rate. Depending on your firm's settings you may be prompted for and required to enter an Override reason. If you are entering an Override reason, enter the reason or click the down arrow to select a reason from the list.
After your changes are saved, you return to the previous window.
