Invoice Templates Overview
Invoice templates save time when you are billing clients because all of the invoice options are preset. Using invoice templates also can help ensure that invoices are standardized across clients and billers.
Practice provides several system-defined templates that you can use. You also can create custom templates or copy a system-defined template as the basis for a new template.
You can select default templates for the firm and for clients. Client-level defaults override firm defaults. If needed, you can change the template used for a specific invoice while you're billing.
Invoice templates are created and managed in the Invoice and Statement Content Manager. This is also where you can manage the headers, footers, and paragraphs that make up a template. To access the Invoice and Statement Content Manager, do the following:
- In Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel.
- In the Firm section, click Invoice and statement templates.
