Backing Up Files with the File Export Utility
You can use the File Export utility to back up files stored in Document. The utility packages the exported files in zipped folders that you can download for storage elsewhere. You can schedule backups to run automatically on a regular schedule, or you can run backups on demand.
The workflow for backing up files is as follows:
- Configure the export. You must specify the entities for which files will be exported. You can also set up the export schedule.
- Run the export. The export process generates zipped files containing the files for the selected entities. The maximum size of the zipped files is 650 MB. If the export exceeds this size, additional zipped files are created as needed.
- Review the export log for errors. If needed, fix any issues and run the export again.
- Download the zipped files. The zipped files will still be accessible in the File Export utility after you download them unless you choose to delete them.
