Comparison fields are data elements selected by you or the program. They are used to see if the data in your existing foundation suite database has matching data in CCH Axcess.
What are comparison fields?
When the program checks the CCH Axcess database, it needs some criteria to match data with the existing foundation suite database. The fields of comparison give specific guidelines for what is to be compared to consider two data records a match.
The staff migration comparison is set and cannot be changed. Records are matched by comparing the Staff ID, User ID, and last name. If all the fields match between a record in your existing foundation suite database and the CCH Axcess database, the program declares the records to be an exact match. If some of the fields match, but not all, the program declares a possible match, and will ask you to decide whether the data records match.
How are the comparison fields used?
The selected fields are used to compare information in your existing foundation suite database to the information already in the CCH Axcess database. When there is no matching data, your existing foundation suite information will be migrated to CCH Axcess. If some of the comparison fields match, you will be given the choice to link the existing foundation suite record to the CCH Axcess record, or to add the existing foundation suite record as a new record in CCH Axcess.
For the entire database, you can choose to migrate existing data from existing foundation suite records into blank fields in the matching or linked CCH Axcess records.
In some cases, the information from your existing foundation suite database display along with one or more records from the CCH Axcess database. Select which record, if any, matches your existing foundation suite data.
