Viewing Portal Notifications

If you are set you up to receive Portal notifications, you can view the notifications in either of the following locations:

  • Notifications panel. By default, this panel displays on the right side of your Home page. Your five most recent notifications display here. Click a notification in the list to view the full text of the notification. Click the more link to display the full Notifications list.

    Note: If the notifications panel does not display on your Home page, see Customizing Your Home Page with Collapsible Panels for instructions on adding it to your Home page.

  • Notifications list. The Notifications list is accessed by clicking the more link on the Notifications panel. It displays all the notifications you have received that have not been deleted. From this list, you can do the following:
    • View the details for an individual notification. Select the notification in the list. Additional information about the notification displays in the Details section at the bottom of the window.
    • Delete unneeded notifications manually. Select a portal notification, and then click Delete Selected Notifications.

      Note: If you do not delete a notification manually, it will be removed automatically according to the notification configuration options that you select. See Setting Notification Pane Options for more information.

The following information displays for each notification:

Column Description
Subject The subject assigned to the notification when it was created.
From The name of the person who sent the notification.
Date The date when the notification was sent.
Priority The priority level given to the notification when it was created.
