Adding Notification Conditions From Dashboard

The Add Notification window is displayed from a link on the Managing Notification Conditions From Dashboard and is used to add available notification conditions. Some conditions may only be added once. If those conditions have already been added to the grid on the Configure Notifications window, they will no longer appear on this window.

To add notifications, do the following:

1. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Notifications under Firm.
2. Click Add Notification.
3. Select one or more rows of conditions from the Available Notification Conditions grid in the top portion of the window and click. Or click to add all rows to the Selected Notifications grid. You can select most conditions more than once to select different values.
4. Define the priority and recipients for the new notifications.
5. Explain the grid components.

Component	Description
Condition	The event for which a notification will be sent. For example, a client has been added, edited, or deleted, or CCH Axcess maintenance is complete. The condition defines the subject of the notification.
Message	The message that defines the body of the notification.
Priority	The priority of the notification; High, Medium, or Low.
Select By	The type of recipient. If multiple recipients exist for a notification rule, the parent row for the rule displays Multiple and can be expanded or collapsed. Note: The Select By types vary, depending on the selected condition. Most conditions allow you to select Client Responsible Staff, Email, Staff, or Team. Notifications for Client Responsible Staff, Staff, and Team are sent to the recipient’s Notifications pane on the Dashboard Home page.
Recipient(s)	The recipient of the notification. If multiple recipients exist for a notification rule, the parent row for the rule displays Multiple and can be expanded or collapsed. If your Select By option is Client Responsible Staff, Staff, or Team, click in the field and enter a letter in the box to go to names that begin with that letter.

5. Add, edit, or remove notifications in the Selected Notifications grid using controls that are located above the grid.

Component	Description
Copy Condition	Copy the selected row to create a new condition. The new condition is inserted below the original condition. The original condition and message are copied and the other columns are set to their default values and can be changed, if needed.
Add Recipient	Insert a new row below the selected condition. You can then select a value from the Select By and Recipient(s) columns. If adding the second recipient for a condition, an additional row is inserted with values inherited from the parent row's Select By and Recipient(s) columns and the values in the parent row are changed to Multiple. Show me an example.
Remove	Remove the selected recipient (child row) or the selected notification condition (parent row).

6. Click OK to save your changes.
