Setting Up Secured Clients

Using the Client Access Group Profile window, you can define the clients that should be secured in the client access group, regardless of their client attributes. You can also define criteria for secured clients in the group to dynamically change when client attributes are modified in the client profile.

Note: You can also select clients for a client access group on the Assignments > Client Access Groups window in the client profile. See Assigning a Client to Client Access Groups for more information.

To add clients to a client access group or determine secured clients for a group, do the following:

  1. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Access groups under Security.
  2. Click Client Access Groups on the navigation panel.
  3. Do one of the following:
  4. ClosedAdd a client access group.
  5. Click New > Client Access Group on the Home tab of the ribbon, or right-click the grid and select New > Client Access Group from the menu to create a client access group.

    ClosedCopy an existing client access group.

    Select an item in the grid and click Copy in the Create group on the Home tab, or right-click an item in the grid and select Copy from the menu.

    The client access group profile displays with all information from the originating client access group, except for the name and description.

    Select an item in the grid and click Open in the Edit group on the Home tab, or right-click an item in the grid and select an option from the Open menu.

  6. Click Secured Clients on the navigation panel.
  7. Select the criteria to assign secured clients. ClosedExplain the attribute criteria.
  8. Select to include or exclude specific clients, if needed. You can assign clients to this access group using only the Specific client criteria grid, or you can use this grid to update the list of clients already selected from your organizational and responsible staff criteria.   9. Select from the button bar options, if needed. ClosedExplain the button bar options.
  10. Click one of the ClosedSave buttons or cancel.
