Deleting an Entity

An entity can be deleted if there is no active reference Reference to a record that has not previously been deleted or closed. For example, staff is assigned as the client responsible staff for one or more clients. in the system.

To delete an entity, do the following:

1. Right-click a record in the grid and select Delete from the menu.
2. Do one of the following:
   • An active reference to the entity exists. The Delete <Entity> window displays when the entity has an active reference. The work product name and reference description display in the grid. Remove the active reference, and then delete the entity.

Component	Description
Email	Opens your email application to a new email. The References grid will be attached to the email as a Microsoft® Excel® file. Note: Email settings must first be configured.
Save As	Displays the Save As window. You can save the references grid as a Microsoft® Excel®  file.
Print	Displays the standard Print window to print the References grid.
References	The grid displays the references to the entity selected to be deleted.

• No references to the entity exists. Click Delete to delete the record from the database. The record is permanently removed from the system.
