About Staff Business
Staff business hours are used to plan time at work. They refer to how many hours a day a staff member is expected to be working. Business hours can be set for each day individually. They should include both billable and non-billable time.
You can define different business hours for different times of year. For example, if staff members are expected to work additional business hours during tax season, you can define a business hours specific to that time of year. You can also define different business hours for different types of staff. For example, administrative staff members might be expected to work fewer hours than your accounting staff. In that case, you could create a set of business hours just for administrative staff.
To set up business hours, do the following:
- Establish business hours. See Setting Business Hours for more information.
- Assign or unassign business hours for staff members.
