Using the Service Code Class Grid

Service code classes are used for sorting, filtering, and reporting data. Classes can also be used to track the hours reported against a benefit area, such as PTO or banked hours, and compare them to the yearly allowance.

Sample classes include PTO, Floating Holidays, Company Holidays, Sick Leave, and Banked Hours. Banked hours class is only available if your firm has selected enable banked hours.

To access this list, do the following:

  1. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Lists under Firm.
  2. Click Practice List > Service Code Classes on the navigation panel.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Add a record. Click the Add service code class cell in the grid, and then enter the new name or identifier and press Enter.
    • Edit a record. Select an item in the grid and click Edit on the button bar.
    • Delete a record. Select an item in the grid and click Delete on the button bar.
    • Sort records. Click a column header to sort a column in ascending or descending order.
    • Print the grid. Click Print on the button bar.

Notes:

  • Your changes save when you click elsewhere on the grid or in the window, or when you navigate away from the grid.
  • Click Find to locate an item in the grid or click Refresh to display any changes to the grid.
  • The options on the grid toolbar are also available on the menu that displays when you right-click an item in the grid.
