Client ID and Client sub-ID |
Select this option to identify clients by both the main ID and the sub-ID. Tips:
- If your firm is using main and sub-IDs for clients, when performing a client search, enter a period (.) between the main client ID and the sub-ID instead of making your selection from the list.
- If your firm is interested in running reports by primary service type, then sub-IDs may be easier; however, in many cases sub-IDs are not necessary. With billing groups, you do not need to group clients by sub-IDs.
|
Default sub-ID |
Enter the default client sub-ID to be used for all clients, for example 000. Sub-IDs can be up to five characters long and composed of any combination of letters, numbers, or special characters.
