Assigning Business Units and Offices
To set up your firm's organizational structure, you should assign the offices and business units in your firm to regions and offices, respectively. Business units that are not assigned to an office will not be available as a selection in any setup window. They will also not appear in the Preview Structure window.
If you need to preview your firm's organizational structure, go to the Organizational Units area of the Firm window and click Preview Structure.
To view or edit your firm's organizational structure assignments, do the following:
- Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Settings and defaults under Firm.
- Click Organizational Units on the navigation panel.
- Click Assignments.
- Assign each business unit to an office.
- Assign each office to a region. If your firm is not using regions, this option will be unavailable.
