About the CCH Axcess Login Method

Select CCH Axcess as the firm’s login mode on the Firm > Login Setup window if you want your firm to configure user IDs for your staff within CCH Axcess. See Setting Up Login Options for more information.

The CCH Axcess login method provides the following:

  • Passwords.
    • A strong password with eight characters minimum — including an uppercase and a lowercase letter, a special character, and a number — is required.
    • You must reset your password every on a schedule that can range from 30 to 90 days, depending on the options selected in the firm settings.
  • 30 minute timeout. The system prompts you to log back in after 20 or 30 inactive minutes, depending on the option selected in the firm settings.
  • 24 hour re-authentication. The system prompts you to re-authenticate your credentials after 24 hours, regardless of activity.
  • Bot detection. You must enter CAPTCHA text with each log in.
  • 2-Step Verification. You can authenticate your identify via SMS text message, a phone call, or using a smart phone authenticator app.
