Downloading Data Exported with TaxTransfer

Tax return data that you export with TaxTransfer is stored in XML files. These XML files are packaged in compressed ZIP files that are available for download in Batch Manager using the procedure below.

Note: Batch Manager only stores the compressed files generated by a TaxTransfer export. You cannot initiate a TaxTransfer export in Batch Manager. TaxTransfer exports are performed using custom programs that your firm creates to integrate with the CCH Axcess Open Integration Kit. To download the XML files generated by a TaxTransfer export, do the following:

  1. Filter jobs in the Job Status grid by TaxTransfer Export job type.

    2. Note: You can also download data for jobs that were partially successful. These jobs will have an Exception status.

  2. Locate your submitted job in the Job Status grid and click Ready for Download in the Download column or, if this is not the first time the file has been downloaded, click Downloaded.
  3. Accept the default file storage location or browse to a different location, and then click Save. If there is a preexisting file, you are prompted to overwrite the file.
