Code If Exempt from Filing Schedules L and M

Enter a code in this box if the partnership is not required to complete Schedules L, M-1, M-2, Item F on Form 1065, page 1, or Item L on Schedule K-1. The System answers Form 1065, page 3, Schedule B, question 4, "Yes" whenever any code is entered in this box and "No" if the box is blank. However, you can choose to print or not print the schedules and items based on the code you enter.

Enter code "Exempt from filing - suppress print" to answer the question "Yes" and to suppress the printing of Schedules L, M-1, M-2, Item F on page 1, and Item L on Schedule K-1. Enter code "Exempt from filing - force print" to answer the question "Yes" but still print the schedules and items.

Note: If filing Schedule M-3 and you want to print Schedules L, M-1 and M-2, leave this field blank and check the field on X to print Scheule M-1 regardless of applicability.

Valid codes for these fields:

2	Exempt from filing - force print
