Valid overpayment(O/P) codes are as follows:

| 1 | Apply O/P to first installment, refund balance. |
| 2 | Apply O/P to successive installments, refund balance. |
| 3 | Apply O/P equally to all installments, refund balance. |
| 4 | Apply O/P to successive installments. If O/P exceeds estimate, the estimate is made equal to the O/P. |
| 5 | Apply O/P to successive installments. If the O/P exceeds estimate, refund entire O/P. |
| 6 | Leave the application of O/P open. |
| 7 | Apply entire O/P to the estimate. This code is valid only if the "Estimate Code" of "1" or "3" is used. |
| 8 | Reserved. |
| 9 | Apply O/P successively to the first two installments, refund balance. |
| 10 | Refund the entire O/P(Default). |
If code "6" is used, the "overpayment applied to the estimate" line of Form SD 100 and all subsequent lines are left blank. Furthermore, the estimated tax payments are not calculated, and estimated tax information is not mentioned in the transmittal letter or filing instructions. If code "6" is used on
