Assigning Portals to a Client User

Client users can be assigned to a portal from the client user profile using the procedure below.

  1. Click or tap Client Users on the banner bar.
  2. Select the check box for the user you want to assign portals to.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Click the Assigned Portals tab.
  5. Click or tap Assign more portals.
  6. Enter all or part of a portal name in the search box, and then click  .
  7. Select the needed portal from the Search Results list.
  8. Edit the Closeduser's options for each portal on the Assigned Portal tab as needed.
    1. Select the file management role the user should have for this portal.
    2. Keep the Grant Access check box selected to allow the user to access the portal once you save this page. Clear the check box if you do not want to give access immediately.

      Note: Clearing the Grant Access box deletes the user from the list of users for the specified portal. If the user has access to multiple portals, the user is not deleted from any other portals.

    3. If needed, enter a date in the Access Expiration box when this user's access to the portal should expire.
    4. Select the My Files Access check box to grant portal users access to the My Files area. Clear the check box to revoke access to the My Files area.

      Note: This option is only available if the firm providing the portal has licensed this feature and enabled it for the portal.

  9. Click or tap Save and Close.
